Karla González

Born in Mexico City, my wellness journey began when I started practicing yoga at the age of twelve. This transformative practice ignited a lifelong passion for self-healing and natural medicine. My first introduction to yoga was in 2008 with the 26and2 series, and by 2014, I began teaching, sharing my love for movement and mindfulness. My teachings are deeply rooted in the traditions of the Ghosh and Ashtanga yoga lineages, and I lead yoga classes and retreats designed to foster growth and transformation. In 2015, I became a certified Health Coach and practiced for several years before deciding to deepen my knowledge in holistic wellness. I completed a three-year diploma in Holistic Nutrition at Pacific Rim College and have been practicing as a Holistic Nutritionist since 2020 in Mexico and Canada. With over eight years of experience as a wellness practitioner, I specialize in supporting individuals undergoing cancer treatments, as well as those managing digestive issues, autoimmune diseases, and hormonal disorders. My approach is compassionate and integrative.Currently, I am further expanding my expertise by pursuing a three-year Herbal Medicine Diploma, allowing me to offer even more comprehensive care. In addition to teaching yoga, I provide personalized holistic health consultations online. My goal is to help clients achieve balance and vitality, creating spaces for healing and self-discovery through both movement and holistic practices.

Visitors will learn about the history, science, and community organization behind these mines.

After lunch, we will head to the Inca/Quechua weavers’ workshop in the village of Chinchero. Here, the artisans will give us a presentation about their traditional dyeing techniques and the ancient stories that inspire their designs. These images pay homage to the natural elements and the universal balance between feminine and masculine energies. Chinchero is known for having preserved Inca culture despite attempts by the Spanish to “civilize” and reform its traditions. Residents have passed down ancestral Inca textile knowledge from generation to generation, including the use of traditional looms, herbs and plants for dyeing, and designs that reflect Inca cultural values.
